Somehow, an AOL version 1024 (or something like that) install disk appeared here in the office. There are a handful of folks who are helpfully offering it to anyone who wants to take it. Surprisingly, they have had no takers yet.

I wonder what 9MM round will do to it?

I suspect that it won't be as much fun as trying to ruin a microwave by nuking it for 60 seconds.

My guesses are...

At very short range: Knock a spare spindle-hole in it.

At long range: Blow it to smithereens.

If you want a few more "Pidgeons" for practice, let me know. I can get you hundreds of the damned things. =P

Thanks, but

I'd prefer a case of hard drives. They make a more satisfying crack :).

I don't dare risk my microwave right now, it's too necessary for feeding the bug. And there's a long enough list of shit we have to get first, that wiping it out would mean I wouldn't have one for up to 6 months. Cold coffee in the morning would all kinds of suck :).

If you go for the microwave trick, remember that it's most spectacular in an otherwise dark room. Enjoy!

set disc on small can on foil sheet in warm oven, turn oven off... disc melts into *shiny* tiny flower pot.
...and to think we used to do this with Barry Manilow LPs -- they at least made big enough pots to plant something in.
