Oct. 5th, 2003 11:56 amSaw "Equilibrium" last night. Very good movie. Starts slow, but the final scenes are SOOO worth it.
Wanna learn "gun-kata" :).
Got to see Zarth for coffee yesterday. It's been almost three years since I've seen him, but (as proof of the continuing friendship, even in the face of a steadily decreasing level of stuff we have in common) we were able to start talking right where we left off. The bug was fairly well behaved, too. A bit of fuss, but not too bad.
Today is a slack day. I have to get laundry done, and I should feed the snake. I want to get down to Renton, get some books to Miss Blue. She has, much to her irritation, books 1,2, and 4-6 of the Honor Harrington series. It's not the sort of series you can skip a book and be able to really follow the next one, so she's grinding her teeth. I'm going to get #3 into her hands. I'm also going to introduce her to the Vorkosigan series.
The bug has made his prefereence for dancing known now. He had a great time last night, with two parents and two aunties to dance him as much as he could stand :). Sadly, we've taken the first step down the vid-kid path. Jay had teh media player going with full-screen visualization. Bug was utterly fascinated, and was pissed this morning when I was trying to read my email. He wanted the screen to show the pretty colors.
He's been getting fussy when he's not being held recently. I'm not sure what that's about. I suppose it's possible he could be figuring out that mom's a seperate entity, which is always a sad and scary realization. He's a couple of months young for that, though. I'd like to think he's as advanced as that, but as much as I'd love to know that my son is a genius, realism says he's bright, but probably not that advanced :).
