So, I've been slightly fretting about finding a way to post pics of my spawn on the web, so I can show folks how big he's getting (as well as how cute, and brilliant, and advanced, and...) without needing to attach files to mail.
I don't have a personal website. I've never had (until now) anything I felt was important enough to justify putting up a page/site. I couldn't bring myself to put up the stereotypical ego-stroke page. I even resisted the urge to post a picture of my cat. Ahh, but pictures of my kid, that's a different story (largely because I actually have folks who WANT to see pics of my kid ;)). So I'd always ignored the chunk of net real estate that I'VE BEEN PAYING MY ISP FOR FOR THREE YEARS.

I think my problem has been solved.

Now to investigate getting pictures of my kid on the web without using the ISP's WYSIWYG editor. THe Geek Police will take away my Geek Card if I don't write the HTML myself for the Uber-simple page I envision.Besides, after working with Frontpage and Dreamweaver I've decided that these tools are, in fact, the tools of the devil.

Here! Here! On your opinion of Dreamweaver and FrontPage! They are indeed the Fruits (pronounces fru ets) of the Devil!
BTW... WOuld love to see pics of Mr Connor although I got to see him for a second at Mama Mo's last weekend. :)
Miss you and got your message but work is insane and it's infectious...I think I am becoming that way too. I will call you when I get off work tonight at 5ish.
hugs,

Two suggestions:

#1: Use PhotoChop to make a gallery for you using the Publish To Web function. You may need a specialist to figure this one out for you though.

#2: Grab the Gallery script from http://gallery.menalto.com and install it on the back-end of your web space, then use the (secure) front-end web panel to send your pictures up to your site.

Both have worked exceptionally well for me, and required only a small modicum of divine intervention to get to work. =)

Another suggestion, although these are all good thoughts so far:

Just set up an account somewhere like http://www.fotopic.net/.
