Snow clearing
Dec. 9th, 2009 12:01 pmI'm uneducated about something.
For those (vast) areas of the world, where the snow *doesn't* melt away before the next snowfall, how do cities/ counties cope with it?
Does it get moved somewhere in snow form? Does it get melted and used in some application?

Date: 2009-12-10 01:43 am (UTC)When I finally -do- find my car, I then have to take the rest of the day to dig it out, and then try to clear out the driveway. Every once in awhile (during the particularly magical months of January and February) another magic plow comes and throws more snow from the road onto my driveway. Where I just finished shoveling.
Eventually, I get frustrated, and decide "to hell with this, I'm just gonna get in my car, and drive through the snow berm!" I usually drive teeeny little cars with teeeny little tires. This does not work well. So, now my car is stuck, half in the driveway, half in the road, and I STILL have to dig it out!
But at least the *&%&*)( snowplows can't shove more snow onto my driveway.
