So, I *hated* Wuthering Heights. Hate *hate* *HATED* it. Heathcliff is cruel, controlling, a brute. Read it once, have consistently refused to repeat the experience.

But, PBS is running another round of Masterpiece Classic, touching on Bronte, Dickens, Hardy, and a repeat of Sense and Sensibility. I figured I'd give the film adaptation of Wuthering Heights a chance.

And, while Heathcliff is *still* cruel, controlling, and a brute, the actor playing him ( Tom Hardy ) is *HOT*. With those dark eyes, and the sexy Nothern accent, he's awfully yummy.

I'd vote to watch. It is very well done, and I like any period piece that gets both the costumes and the accents right... ;)
