"Did you know that [school_your_preschooler_is_inside_right_now] is in lock-down, and swarming with cops, and SWAT?" falls FIRMLY into the second category.
Fortunately I have understanding friends, who talked me down until I could get somewhere to check for further updates.
All is well, but MAN that was a bad hour or so.
