My little man has had a rough couple of weeks. He came down with a sinus bug, that led to a bunch of coughing. Also led to a matching set of ear infections. Yay :|. So, we get him to the doctor, get the antibiotics started. A day or two later, he starts complaining that his mouth hurts. I don't see anything aside from some mild inflammation until today. When I realize he's got blisters on his tongue. Mama missed a raging case of thrush. Go me.
Made the necessary phone calls, got the meds ordered.

Forgot that the pharmacy has restricted hours on Saturday. Go me x2.

And he's too bent out of shape to try anything new. Like, yogurt. Of any flavor. So I can't do anything more than feed him ice water, and hope that he responds quickly to the meds.

Poor buggy Bug...

Hopefully he's getting better. (I just got back in and back on the computer today.)

And you're a GREAT mom. You can't catch everything.

I once made Pete take Michael into his doctor because I was at work and he was home sick with him, and he was continuing to refuse to eat.

His entire mouth was covered in a open viral rash. Yeah, go nurse mommy. Gee, ya think that's why he wouldn't eat?

You're doing an awesome job. I know somedays it's hard to see it, but you are.

1) Are they alive?
2) Do you care if they are alive?

If the answer to the questions above are "Yes" you pass...
You do the best you can with what you know at the time.

You are garenteed to screw up your children one way or another, no matter what you do you will have "Ruined" thier lives...

Best you can do is teach them to laugh at themselves and accept making mistakes.

Dammit, you keep injecting reason and logic into these issues. Don't you realize you're going off-script? You're supposed to use *guilt*!

Thanks :)
