Jun. 18th, 2007 11:52 amWorking from home this morning, have a lunch-time meeting with Bug's teachers to map out his IEP for next year. Sadly, working from home is not as productive as I'd like.
And in other news, it appears that all my electronics have reached their functional end-of-life at the same time. The VCR (13 years old, one owner) no longer completely rewinds tapes. This is a minor irritation, if I can get a manual rewinder. The DVD player tends to overheat if left on for too long, and cause skipping and image freezing. And I can't tell if the 'make-the-vcr-and-dvd-player-work-together-on-my-ancient-tv' gadget is working or not :}. It might just be that the "on" LED has burned out :).

Date: 2007-06-18 07:53 pm (UTC)On the other hand, due to some upgrading in my house, in my stack o'crap to go to Goodwill is a VCR, DVD player, and converter box. None of it is more than five years old. If you want them let me know and I will put them aside for you. I think I even have the owner's manuals around here somewhere. . .

Date: 2007-06-19 12:37 am (UTC)I posted my original, when I thought that the TV+DVD player +VCR combination had died, and that Bug would be unable to watch the Hunchback Of Notre Dame. For the 4th time today. And I, too, would be forced to kill someone. Possibly me.
