PSA: people not to cross

gwywnnyddI've had this subject come up several times in different contexts over the last few weeks, I figured I'd throw it out for discussion.
As you amble through the highways and byways of life, there are certain people you SHOULD NOT CROSS. They can make your life hell.
For example:
Navy: Do not piss off the Disbursing clerk. You can piss off the *officer*, but stay on the good side of the clerk. Other folks on the boat not to piss off: the cook. The medic. The guy who handles the mail. And the guys who do the laundry (unless your boat is small enough that you're expected to do it yourself).
In Corporate America: Do not cross the Receptionist, or the Administrative Assistant. They have more influence than you.
In Law offices: Same idea, don't piss off the law secretaries. They can make or break your time there.
