I'm just being over-sensitive. Really, I am. The coincidence of a) news reports of schools closing due to flu outbreak, and a child dying from flu complications, b) J. getting sick, and c) Bug getting feverish snd snuffly this evening is JUST COINCIDENCE. Really. It is.


Deep breaths. Yeah, I'm OK. Sure, I'll be fine. No worries...

They're probably getting sick, but the odds of it becoming serious are stunningly low. Just breathe, give everyone liquids and rest, and take care of yourself too!

I'm mostly just concerned about Bug, because his medical history means that anything that affects his already-compromised ability to stay hydrated will put him in the ER for IV rehydration, if not admitted for a couple of days. We managed to avoid that last winter, I'd really like to be able to avoid it again this winter...

My boss's kids' school was among those closed. He has been out sick since this time last week and apparently his whole family is sick too.

Yep JUST COINCIDENCE but you might get him into the doctor sooner than later anyway and get J in to get a flu test so he could take the anitviral's int he interest of keeping Bug well......
