Nov. 4th, 2006 09:41 amWent out to see _Flags of our Fathers_ last night. I really, *really* like the idea behind this. The story is the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima, and the aftermath. This is part 1 of a two part treatment (part two is going to be the battle of Iwo Jima from the Japanese perspective).
Anyone who has problems with explosions, and/or realistic damage from explosives, should probably skip this one. It's realistic, part of the plot-line involves the coping mechanisms of the men who fought there, there's a lot of flash-back scenes. So,
lawst, just in case you were wondering: No ;).
But I really liked it, and will add it to my collection when it comes out on DVD.
