OK, I'm not sure I like this.

So, I was informed today that if one puts a battery in the headphones I've been using at work, then they function for noise-cancelling as well as sound delivery. So I'm trying it.

I hate it. Yes, there are fewer background noises from the room. But there's a low-level hum coming from the headphones themselves, that is making my nerves *crawl*.

I can't stand the vacuum or simulated styles of noise-cancelling headphones. Both make my head feel like it's vibrating. :P I can't blame you at all.
