A little late, and modified.

Instead of being quotes from my favorite movies, these are my favorite quotes from movies.

1. "The rain is falling straight down and kind of to the side like."

2. "Maybe I'm not that conscientious, but I do object!"

3. "Sydney, the man is the leader of the free world. He's brilliant, funny, handsome. He's an above-average dancer. Isn't it possible our standards are just a tad high?"

4. "Life's a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!"

5. "You really don't understand the concept of a 'bargaining chip', do you?"

6. "Now which doll shall we give Daisy's little friend Emily? The one that looks like a transvestite or the one that looks like a dominatrix?"

And some of my favorite monologues:

"America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours. You want to claim this land as the land of the free? Then the symbol of your country can't just be a flag; the symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest. Show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then, you can stand up and sing about the "land of the free"."

"Wanda, do you have any idea what it's like being English? Being so correct all the time, being so stifled by this dread of, of doing the wrong thing, of saying to someone "Are you married?" and hearing "My wife left me this morning," or saying, uh, "Do you have children?" and being told they all burned to death on Wednesday. You see, Wanda, we'll all terrified of embarrassment. That's why we're so... dead. Most of my friends are dead, you know, we have these piles of corpses to dinner. "

Is it okay to identify where these are from? Hope so, if not, just hit delete.

#3 and the first monologue are from the same movie, "The American President". #6 is from "Love Actually". #4 and 5 sound very familiar.

Yep, you got 'em :).

#4 and #5 are a classic, and a very recent release, respectively :).
