Bike notes: So *that's* what a throttle stuck WFO sounds like... betcha properly attaching the throttle cables will decrease the likelihood of that happening again.
OTOH, I did get it running...
Now to get her running well enough that I trust her to get me to work and back reliably.

No, I was trying to get it started. I got it started... then got scared I'd blow it up and turned it off :).

saw a guy do that in an ERC. He was riding a bike that shouldn't have been allowed on the course- not only did the throttle stick, and not only did he not know what to do about it, but the kill switch was disabled.

Yeah, the previous owner did some modification to this bike. Now, the kill switch only allows the engine to run when it's in the 'Off' position. Fortunately, I'd been warned about that beforehand...

Had a throttle stick WFO on my KZ1000 blasting up Portola in SF. Found myself very quickly doing about 75 in a 35. Kill switch was fortunately not disabled.
