OK, I have time to kill
Jul. 22nd, 2005 06:13 pmI have a test running, I have to wait for the result. It's likely to take an hour or so. So, I've got some stuff I wanted to get down somewhere.
I think Treeby is just the coolest. She's been watching the Bug during the day for a couple of weeks now, and she makes sure to keep me informed of advances my little boy makes.
Such as, Bug wants his own leaf-blower, very much please.
When she gets to our place in the morning, he does the piston-leg happy dance, and bolts for the door, as it's *CLEARLY* walk time. He is not entirely accepting of the fact that walks must be delayed until footwear is in use.
When he walks, the broom has to come along. I'm not sure why, but he's very insistant.
He will yell "Sop!" when your turn on the rocking horse is done.
He has taken to making engine sounds wherever he goes. Car play, gets engine sounds. Being pushed in the stroller, engine sounds. Riding in the car or the jeep, engine sounds. My boy adores going 'b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b-b".
His first stop in the morning, is our room, so he can climb up on the bed and say 'wuv' to Daddy. He's even growing tall enough that he can get up on the bed without help.
If you ignore his "I'm ready to get up now" grunts long enough, he will snake his arm through the bars of the crib, open the top drawer of his dresser (the one that holds diapers and accoutrements) and will pull out everything he can reach, to throw on the floor. I console myself with the thought that at least he's not trying to disconnect his feeding tube.
He's *so* done with TellyTubbies and BoohBah. He requires a much higher level of interest, thank you. Dragon tales is pretty good, cause they have music. He really likes Between the Lions.
He will happily leaf through his books if you hand one to him. He will not, however, allow you to *read* one to him. I'm not sure what's up with that. I'll wait until he's got the words, then ask.
We're still working on the whole eating thing, Treeby seems to be having better luck getting him to eat than either J. or myself.
