I am displeased
Jul. 8th, 2005 02:55 pmI'm irritated with both my options for listening to music at work. I have a directory on my machine, that contains many subdirectories, and a couple thousand tracks all told. I like this.
I could listen to it in WinAmp. WinAMP allows me to select a directory, and even allows me to direct it to shuffle playback. It does not, however, allow me to direct it not to repeat tracks. So I could hear the same three tracks over and over again. Bleh.
I could try listening to in in Windoze Media player. But WMP wont let me tell it "Play this directory". I can tell it to play tracks from X album, but the ones I want to listen to are ~150 tracks from ~150 different albums. Double bleh.
So I'm grumpy about that.
But I get to borrow JT tomorrow and go to the zoo, so I'm not too grumpy :).

Zina (http://www.pancake.org/zina/index.html)
Jinzora (http://www.jinzora.org/)
Jinzora is the most mature a feature rich that I've tested out.
