Why is it, I am incapable of packing correctly for June Faire? Every year that I have gone, I have packed for the wrong weather. This time, the Bug spent a lot of time in mundane clothes, because that's what he had that was warm (there is a dearth of warm baby garb in my world, I really must do something about it).
The Bug had a blast, and was a big hit. Little T. and he had the *best* time running around, there were lots of folks willing to keep an eye on them (good for Mamas and Daddy, as it meant we could relax a bit). Although, I did get many comments about his vocal range. See, my boy is not the sulk-in-the-corner type. If he's upset about something, he lets you know it. He can hit notes that are painful for adult ears. Unless you are
levin_marks. In that case, you can hear the Bug dopplering up, but the range that is painful coincides with the range of your hearing loss. So suddenly the boy is mouthing like a fish, but you can't hear a thing. L was just the tiniest bit smug about that :).
I managed to get rid of some garb we weren't using anymore. Gold Key was happy, as were J and E (who got first dibs on the stuff, they are new, and neither of them sew, so they needed more garb). I'm going to be teaching E how to sew over the winter.
Overall, came home sunday tired, sore, sunburnt, and soaking wet. It was a success :).

Date: 2005-06-07 05:15 pm (UTC)I agree, the boys have partners-in-crime now :).
Yeah, that white conga definately neeed to be on it's side. Current theory is that it needed to be oriented so he could play it, should the mood strike him :). I figure it was the white one's turn, last event it was the bright blue on that got that treatment :).
I've got some hints for little kid garb, makes it much simpler, if you're interested.
