I really hate being in limbo.
I've agreed to wait until we see what is up with the bathroom, before I start looking for a place to move to. Since we have to wait for the contractor to come out here and check it out, and his schedule changes daily, we have no idea when that will be.

ALthough we have heard that the instructions he got from the landlady were "Take a look, and we'll see if we can afford to fix it . . ." This does not fill me with confidence.

Does anyone happen to know of a 2+ bedroom place, in King County, for roughly $800? Must be cat friendly.

Unless you have a /real/ reason to cut them serious slack, you might remind them that whether or not they *think* they can afford it, if it is even potentially toxic mold it they don't abate it -- completely -- they can be condemmed. And I'm sure there are developers who would be happy to get their mitts on that dirt at "not fit for human occupancy" prices to redevelop. There's a website all about it -- somewhere. I can hunt it up if you want, but you can probably google "toxic mold washington" and find even more.

Hugs!
