gwywnnyddA week's vacation is a good thing, but the Universe decided I shouldn't get too relaxed.
So, just as I was reaching that kicked-back state, we dug the caulking out of the bathtub/shower. Beyond the fact that I was pulling two and three layers of the stuff, the final layers were followed by black muck oozing out from behind the shower wall. Combined with the bloom of mold/mildew on the wall in teh bedroom, and I'm thinking black mold. This has generated an immediate "Must move *NOW*" response in me.
The landlady is trying to keep us as tenants, and has authorized replacing the formica and wallboard in the shower, but I suspect that wont be enough.
I may find myself facing packing and moving on less than a month's notice. This would be a challenge . . .
