Oy. Flu vaccine supply is 'compromised'.
Not an issue for myself, I have bad reactions to the vaccine anyway. Another impetus for me to get off my butt and ensure the Bug gets his flu shot, though.

no.. just the half that ISN't going to be making it to the states... so we have an "epidemic" on our hands, because we have not enough flu vaccinne for every body.

goodthing I never got attached to that stuff.

Actually, the licensing issue affects all end users of the vaccine, not just us. It just affects us more than anyone else cause the company was gonna supply ~50% of our vaccines.

Comfortingly for me, the *other* company is the one that manufactures the formulation for 6-23 months. So Bug's good.

I know. T send me a link about it yesterday. Just bloo*dy great. We all wanted to die here last year--ThePuppy is 27 mos, but I'm going to see if he can have the younger one anyway, or if the 'grownup' version is safe.

Otherwise, I'm camping out in the basement & not leaving til' mid-March. Period.

ThePuppy is within the age range recommended in hte CDC's list, so it should simply be a matter of contacting his pediatrician and asking which they recommend he get. Just over two is still young enough that I can't see anyone objecting to him getting the shot.
Turns out J. contacted the Nephrology clinic at children's, and arranged for Bug to get his shot at his next check-up (week after next). So that all worked out :).
