I was really pleased with the guys down at Downtown Automotive. It has a Mercer St address, but really is just off of Roy Street one block east of Taylor. For reference, the old Tower Records is between Mercer and Roy just west of Taylor, so this is just one block over.
I felt they did a good job of fixing things, and not coming up with extra work that needed to be done. You just need to put a set amount into attempting to fix this and you'll get a waiver (I can't recall if it is $100 or $300).
I work in redmond :). Downtown Seattle is a little far for me :).
No worries though, I got it into a shop a couple fo blocks from my office, they identified the problem (bad 02 sensor), and will have it fixed by EOB today.
I learned years ago I can swear up a storm without really offending folks if I do it in the Queen's English :).
Had a boyfriend who often used the same tactic. Until the day he forgot and did it in front of my dad. Who pointed out to him that *everyone* in the room knew *exactly* what he had just said, *and* how crude it was. Tim never did that again . . .
