My weekend
May. 3rd, 2004 04:42 pmDroning down the superslab sucketh. just so you know.
Met a rilly cool chick named Molly. Must make an effort to get to know her better, I like her attitude.
Concrete gets freaking HOT when there is no shade, and it's a warm day. Several hours of stop and go riding will cause my hands to cramp. badly. Oh, and an air-cooled bike *will* cook your thigh when you're not moving fast enough for the waste heat to go *behind* you.
Powells is, and I suspect always will be, a maze.
Little Virginia has the longest fingers and toes I have ever seen, on any anthropoid. She's still playing with "This is *my* foot!"
I miss my boy terribly when I'm gone.
I had a blast eating fried catfish, hush puppies, fried oysters, baked beans, dirty rice, key lime pie, and potato salad.
The hour spent in the hot tub was much needed, but I should have followed it with copious amounts of water. I could have avoided the morning headache if I had done that.
I had so much fun chatting with folks at M&C's Sunday morning I didn't get a start on my day until noon.

Date: 2004-05-03 05:58 pm (UTC)I wondered if you were taking the bug as a papoose. But it is probably even better to have a brief getaway from responsibility. Yay for short time-outs that make being back together a happy thing.
