That's when a group of women in close proximity end up synching their menstrual cycles. Synched to the Alpha, IIRC.
What's fun to watch (FSVO"Fun") is a group with a mixture of chemically-imposed cycles, and a few women without the chemical control. Group A follows their imposed cycle, Group B follows *their* imposed cycle, and the few women without chemical control swing between the two.
It's a Quentin Tarantino-esque trainwreck.
