Well, I have two usable tires now :). Turns out the screw in the front wasn't long enough to puncture the tire (Dammit, I wish I'd known that months ago!). Got a new Metzler on the rear, and ended up having to replace the bearings as well (well, fortunately I'd budgetted for two tires, so I'm good) ;).
