I liked Steve McQueen as well, but I was more enamored with him jumping the motorcycle over the barbed wire.

So, I went over to icebluenothing's house, many years ago, to watch Season 8 of Red Dwarf with him, treebyleaf, and retcon. During one of the episodes, while planning a prison break, the robots started humming a song. I collapsed in laughter. They asked what was the joke? I pointed out that the song was the theme for "The Great Escape".
