While lifting something heavy at work today, he heard something in his back go pop.
He ended up calling an ambulance to take him to the ER, since he was in too much pain to walk, let alone drive.
He's probably going to be admitted tonight, and we'll see what's what later.
So far, the ER doc's helpful suggestion was "We've already given you three times the normal dosage of Demarol, you'll just have to go home and lie down." Umm, the reason he's asking for more painkillers is THEY'RE NOT WORKING!!! Perhaps the fact that you've already given him triple the normal dosage and he's reporting no relief should be an indication that something is really wrong?
He's not a happy camper right now.
