Dammit, quit mangling my language
Jan. 14th, 2004 01:35 pmOK, so, the non-patriarchal, non-demeaning plural is womyn.
What is the singular? Why have I also seen the singular 'womyn'? Is this supposed to be like, well, the only examples I can think of are Moose and Sheep, neither are complimentary. But, that's where they took me.
And frankly, can whoever thought this up PLEASE go get a life? You wanna get riled up about something, get riled up about something that FUCKING MATTERS! Start donating your time and spare cash to a battered women's shelter, volunteer with a Headstart program (to break the cycle), help staff a food bank. Just spend your time and energy on something that actually helps.
