My dad actually did this years ago for my mother. Had it parked in the driveway with a big red bow on it- the whole scene. I'm not sure how he got it there during the night- maybe the neighbor helped.
At any rate, I don't remember her reaction at all because as soon as we all piled out to the front porch to check it out, my sisters cat walked around the front of the car.
Puff had been MIA for 2 weeks. We all cared a lot more about the cat.
