Girding for the holiday
Nov. 26th, 2003 09:19 amI'm really hoping I'll be let out early today (feels like I'm still in school when I say that. "Teacher, PLEASSE, may we go home early?"). I've got a bunch of stuff I need to get done :). Got Rob and Elena coming up for the weekend, showing up sometime tonight. Well, they're going to be enlisted in the housecleaning/baby-tending duties :).
have to tidy the house, extract the china from the farthest reaches of the storage closet (placed there becasue I wouldn't need it more than once or twice a year), and scrub a few key areas of the house. All while keeping the baby occupied :). Oh, and make a couple of pies tonight. Then tomorrow, the big cooking push :).
As long as teh turkey is in the oven by 11:00, it's all good.
I should pick up a meat thermometer. It'd be rude to give my guests food poisoning . . .
