have I mentioned recently
Nov. 18th, 2003 10:21 amI hate computers?
So, my work machine has, for no discernable reason, decided that .wmv files are evil. Any attempt to run them will result in a full and complete system freeze. The three-finger-salute wont even work. have to do a hard reboot (which, this being Win2k server, makes for a *happy* machine). And the MS site is about as helpful as ever.
This is a problem because Wetleather is sending out movie clips of the races, and I CAN'T WATCH THEM!!!!

Date: 2003-11-19 12:35 pm (UTC)My suggestion is to try patching the Windows Media Player, if that's what you're using. If not, or maybe in addition, try downloading the latest RealAudio Player. I think that does movies also. If you can associate the .wmv files to another program, you may be able to get around the problem.
Good luck!
