I have to think up interview questions for tomorrow. Blech.
I find myself, more and more, remembering a quick exchange I had with Thog back at Esuck. When asked if I wanted to remain in a lieutenant role to him, I replied that, while I thought I'd be really good at it, it wasn't where I wanted to go, I wanted lead work.
I've got it, and I'm coming to realize I don't like it. I'm a good tester. Hell, at times I'm an inspired tester (the highest compliment I can give, in case you didn't know). I like testing. I don't like writing test plans. I don't like paperwork.
Assuming I stay in this industry (rather than bailing for the medical field at the next opportunity), I'm going for Senior tester positions. No more lead crap.
Of course, I'm pretty burned out, so maybe Chevron Cashier will be looking good soon.
