Overall, a good trip. My car had what turned out to be a fainting fit going up Snoqualmie Pass, and decided she wasn't going *anywhere*. Exhaust system blocked, from the cat all the way back. No wonder she wasn't going anywhere, she couldn't breathe! So, we got turned around (after hitting the rock that put a hole in the oil pan [killed the oil pan, but performed an engine flush, there's that silver lining]) and coasted 10 miles back into town. Hopefully that helped to keep the towing bill from being astronomically high.
So, the oil pan was fixed on Saturday, and they could diagnose the problem. They found a place to fix it (for less than the dealer would have charged for a single part), it should be done this afternoon.

So, get to the west summit, turn around, coast, towed the rest of the way into town. Rich met us at the dealer, took jay back home to get teh jeep, we loaded everything into the jeep, and got back on the road (5.5 hours late, but owell). We got to MOP and Karen's at about 2 AM.
The bug had a BLAST, hanging with Nana and MOP and MOMOP. We had a very relaxing day, and got back on the road for home late Sunday morning. Stopped to say Hi to Val and Gordo, and oggle their new house. VERY cool. Turn of the century, lots of old wood and leaded glass. ASide form the fact that it's in Spokane, I'd want it :). But that's too much commute for me ;).
Got home about 9:30 last night. Fed and played with the bug, put him to bed, and crashed.
Today, get the various cars dealt with (The Honda failed it's emissions test, and I can't sign it over to the new owners without valid tabs, so I have to take the damn thing in to get it fixed or a good-faith attempt made).

Jeez! And you were worried about snow! Glad everything worked out and you still got to spend time with M&K. :-)

Cool!

Then I guessed right about the cat converter... I had a Olds that behaved that way and lost power... I am very glad that it wasn't the tranny....
