Unexpected twinges

So, many moons ago, Ogre died. I'll miss him. I'm worried about the potential for trauma-drama that his friends/groupies will infuse the next few conventions with, but that 's because my tolerance for trauma drama has deteriorated to a level that can best be described as "If I break your nose, will the yowling you're doing change pitch?"

Most of the time it doesn't bother me, that I wont see him again. But I did get a twinge when reading todays paper, and the P-I columnist who reported on his death back then has mentioned him again in today's column.

Saw "XXX" last night for the first time. Was a fun movie. Lots of things blowing up, and Vin Diesel. Something for everyone . . .

I got an extra thrill from the movie, since the opening scene has Rammstein performing 'Feuer Frei'. Not just in the soundtrack, but they work a concert performance by the band into the film. Works well, too. Got to assure Jay "No, that's part of their show. No really, that too. No, that's what they *do* at their shows."

Anxiously awaiting

The second-trimester 'second wind' I keep being assured I'll find. Wait, what do you mean I'm not in the secodn trimester until next week? But, but, I need sleep *now*!

Chicago style pizza

OK, this is odd. I want pizza. Specifically, I want Chicago style, deep dish pizza. I want the first pizza we had in Chicago (desperately trying to unload the moving truck before it got towed). Of course, I'm in another state now, which complicates things. And, I don't remember *where* that pizza was ordered from. All I *do* remember is that teh only place that'll deliver to me out here is teh one that I was lukewarm about (well, if that's all there is, I'll eat it, but I'll know it's not the best I could have).
But that first pizza was excellent :). It had a cornmeal crust that I loved (I was the only one who liked it, which meant we didn't order from there again).

I'm thinking a trip to My Brother's Pizza in wallingford is in the future.
